I’ve been asked by quite a few people what happened to some of the characters that featured in More Ketchup than Salsa since it was published, so I’m going to start with what seems to be one of the favourites… the legend that is my Nan.
Nan was always a determined soul, so much so that she willed herself to remain breathing long enough to receive a telegram from the Queen. And to give her credit, not just breathing, but still living an active life.
She lived on her own in Clitheroe, Lancashire, regularly seen by neighbours battling with bedsheets as she tried to hurl them over the washing line in her backyard. Sometimes she was successful…
